When it comes to people shooting and killing each other, liberals typically don’t seem to have a problem with the following shooting/killing scenarios: (1) Blacks shooting and killing other Blacks, (2) Blacks shooting and killing Whites, and (3) Whites shooting and killing other Whites. I say this because when one of these three scenarios does actually take place, progressives never utter a word about it.
It is only when Whites shoot and kill Blacks that the progressive, liberal left comes out of the woodwork and begins raising hell. When such a situation does occur, they claim that there is an inordinate number of Blacks being killed by Whites (an epidemic they would claim) and that racism is the reason for this constant,wholesale slaughter of Blacks. They talk about unequal distribution of wealth and how the system is stacked against young Black males. They bemoan the fact that many in our society fear young Black males. Usually Jessee Jackson and Al Sharpton show up in the community in which the young Black male was shot and they organize protests. You know…the usual woe-is-me, the-world-is-out-to-get-the-poor-litlle-Black-man nonsense they have been saying for decades.
In light of the recent shootings of Michael Brown and Antonio Martin and the protests quickly followed, it occurred to me recently how we could end this “epidemic” of young Blacks being constantly shot and killed by evil White males on a regular basis. My solution is so simple that it will amaze you. Ready? Here goes…
If White liberals and Black activists don’t want young Black men shot by White men, whether the White man is a police officer as was the case in the shootings of Michael Brown and Antonio Martin, or a civilian as was the case in the Trayvon Martin shooting, then perhaps these anti-self-defense, pro-thug, troublemaker sympathizers should inform young Black males that it is not a good idea to attack armed White men nor is it a good idea to point a 9mm handgun at a police officer. In all three of these cases, the shooter was simply defending himself against a useless, counterproductive thug who caused his own death when he decided to inflict bodily harm on a man who happened to be armed. The lesson to be learned from these three incidents is simple folks: Don’t attack people. The outcome may not turn out so well for the attacker. Yes, it actually is that simple.
I suppose this solution will qualify as “hate speech.” The reason it will is because it is rooted in logic. To base a solution to a problem of supposed racism in logic and then to actually come out and publicly state it always results in both the solution and the speech being labeled as hateful or mean-spirited and the one who spoke it being labeled as a racist. Oh well.
